Learn the essentials of praying contemplatively using Centering Prayer at this basic workshop. During the four short talks on Saturday, you’ll learn about the Christian monastic origin of this ancient prayer form, its scriptural basis, why thoughts during prayer are natural and integral to the prayer and the role of  “consent” in your relationship with God. Learn the simple guidelines and experience the prayer for yourself.

Gather/checkin: 8:15am
Workshop: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
Light breakfast, water, coffee and tea provided. Bring a snack to share if you like.
$25.00* (*Cost is free for those who have previously paid to attend a full Centering Prayer introductory workshop, but please register.)
Walkins are welcome, however registration by Sept. 27 is much appreciated.
