“Resting in one’s center where God Dwells”

Fr. John Mark Ettensohn, OMI – Retreat Director

All of God’s creation moves with the rhythm of life, a time of life-quickening action (the inhale) and a time of rest (the exhale).  Both are necessary on life’s journey and need to be in balance if one is to truly and deeply rest in one’s center where God dwells.

On this retreat, we will take a closer look at this natural rhythm and the critical role of its restful exhale (joy and laughter, wisdom through awareness, hope in the midst of fear, etc.).

We will also take time for centering prayer, time to rest in our center where God dwells that we may be more God-centered as we continue on the journey of life.

Retreat Director:  Fr. John Mark Ettensohn, OMI has been a Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate for thirty two years.

Ordained in 1989, he has served in ministry as a pastor, retreat/renewal preaching team member and director, spiritual director, writer/producer/director in television for Oblate Media Productions, and Director of Christ the King Retreat Center in Buffalo, Minnesota.  He has been praying contemplatively for 36 years.
